more than an attempt to be an 'objective' list, this is simply a list of songs that, at one point or another, i have considered to be one of the greatest or most impactful songs i have ever heard. they are added for vastly different reasons, some far after their most effectual moment to me, some are added by the end of their first listen. for that last distinction i've included a special indicator [🪙], but all songs here are incredibly important—in one way or another—to me.
