if you stripped everything out, gutting the soul and buoyant life out of this single, i'm sure that someone could adequately ascribe some kind of arbitrary meaning to why the nagging kicks and gently floating vocal lines create beauty out of so little, out of hazy atmospherics and subtly crackling synth patches. but then there would be no point. the life would be gone, that night out would no longer mean anything, life becomes a series of actions and reactions devoid of purpose, and there's nothing left that feels transient, no longer with any spontaneity or free intimacy. when this beautiful arrangement comes to life, that's all that's felt, and that's all that needs to be felt. it is the perfect example of all.
